Even though Maui Meadows is situated higher on the mountain than Wailea, it still receives an average of less than 10 inches of annual rainfall; this South Maui location offers some of the best year-round weather on the Valley Isle. Although, some of the homes higher in the neighborhood are approaching the rain border of Ulupalukua and have a slightly cooler climate.
The beaches nearby are generally calmer due to their southern orientation and sheltered location directly to the east of Kahoolawe.
