Lucas Woodford was born and raised in Lahaina, on the island of Maui. He grew up playing in the ocean and enjoying all the outdoor activities Maui has to offer. He later moved "Upcountry" where he attended the college preparatory school, Seabury Hall. From the green pastures of Seabury, Lucas learned to appreciate theatre and science, as well as the inspiring bi-coastal views he could see from the campus. After graduating, Lucas was looking for a dramatically different experience and chose to pursue a degree in engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. When he finished his schooling at NUB, Lucas left New England and moved to Southern California, where he most certainly did not miss the cold weather!
Lucas has been in sales for over 10 years, during which he has sold a vast range of items. After starting in men’s suits, he was later hired to be a loose diamond consultant at a high-end jewelry store in San Diego. While there, Lucas also drew from his experiences in fishing, boating and his love for the ocean while growing up on Maui by becoming a deckhand and fishing guide on a private yacht. Spending a season in Alaska, and catching and eating fresh, wild fish, was a dream come true.
Upon returning home to Maui, Lucas was hired as the sales representative for Maui County by a business equipment company based out of Oahu. He quickly built a solid customer base on Maui selling a product no one likes, but what everybody needs. “If you can sell copiers, you can sell anything,” is something Lucas heard throughout his 2½ years with the company.
Lucas earned his Real Estate License in December 2010 and since has continued to hold memberships with Realtors Association of Maui, Hawaii Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He not only enjoys the sales process involved a lot, but also the interactions he has with different people. Lucas chose to work with Hawai’i Life Real Estate Brokers because of their embrace of technology, as well as all the other great agents at the brokerage. Lucas is passionate about matching his client’s dreams of living on Maui with the one home that perfectly fits their desires.
